It Continues: Alpha Protocol

Welcome to the second game on my unholy list of virtual delights!  Alpha Protocol.  In this game you are Mike Thorton, a CIA agent who is chosen to be the newest member of ALPHA PROTOCOL, a top secret organization dedicated to protecting 'Murrica's interests.  They also have the worst emblem ever.

Seriously guys, hire an image consultant.  There is way too much going on there.  Anyways, as the newest member of ALPHA PROTOCOL you are sent into Saudi Arabia and, well, some bad shit goes down and you're suddenly public enemy number 1, and you have to find out who set you up and why.  I've actually played this game before on the 360, and I feel like it got a bum rap.  There are some definite issues with the way the skills are set up and the gunplay, but I still feel like it's a game worth playing, if only to see what's possible with narrative and the player's effect on it.  Yes, even if you don't particularly like the narrative, Tube.  So onward and upward.  Per the Penny Arcade Forums, my unofficial headquarters for this shindig (I almost typed shitdig, that would also be appropriate) I will be playing as a Soldier, which means I'll start out with points in all my gun skills.  Though I'll probably redistribute it between two guns, since that's all I can carry.  I will be taking one stance throughout the entire game, and that is Aggressive.  Yes, I am the assholes.  And I will be beginning my journey after Saudi Arabia in Rome, and going from there.

See you on the other side!
