Well that's day one in the bag. I went over my hour by 14 minutes to finish a mission, but I don't think I'll go much past that today. Some initial impressions:
- This game isn't very scary. It's like, "Oh, a dark hallway, I bet there will be some aliens to shoot"
- The weapons kind of suck. If I get a flamethrower, I shouldn't be putting it aside to use my freaking pistol.
- The boss fight against the alien queen was actually pretty fun. Good sense of accomplishment from lightin' dat bitch on fiyah.
All in all I'd say it's kind of mediocre. Not awful by any means, but nothing to make me stand up and shout HOORAY.
This is probably the only update I'll do for this game until the end, unless something comes up I really want to talk about. Maybe I'll check in on the first hour of the Pred and Alien campaigns. UNTIL THEN!
